The count excludes today and includes the target day, so "1 day to go" means the event is tomorrow. You also get the total in weeks, months and weekdays.

Questions people ask
Does the countdown include today?
No. It counts the number of midnights between today and the target date, so the day before an event shows 1 day to go.
When is Thanksgiving?
US Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November, so it falls between November 22 and 28.
What happens after the holiday passes?
For preset holidays the countdown rolls to next year's date automatically. For a custom date in the past, it shows the days since instead.
