How it works
Find what time it will be after adding a number of hours and minutes to a starting clock time, or what time it was a given amount of time earlier. It is handy for medication schedules, cooking and baking times, shift ends and travel arrival times.
The calculator wraps around midnight and tells you whether the result lands on the same day, the next day or a previous day. Minutes over 59 and hours over 23 are fine; they are carried over automatically.
Formula
Result = (start minutes ± duration minutes) mod 1440
Questions people ask
What time is 8 hours after 9:00 PM?
5:00 AM the next day.
Can I add more than 24 hours?
Yes. Enter any number of hours; the result shows the clock time and how many days later it falls.
How do I find the time between two clock times instead?
Use the time duration calculator, which subtracts one time from another and handles shifts that cross midnight.
